EASEY'S MENTAL HEALTH KNIGHT

Easey's was established in 2015, offering a unique combination of burgers, beers and Melbourne culture. They have since been proud supporters of the Knights, providing opportunities for players, hosting our annual medal presentation and lots more!

Located at Easey's in Collingwood in late November, a fundraising dinner event, Mental Health Knight, was organised to help raise awareness about the importance of mental health support networks and the issues faced by those in support networks. The night was convened by Adrian Parisi, owner of Blue Print Initiative, a not-for-profit organisation which teaches people how to cope and help others with mental illness.

The intimate crowd were treated to some tasty burgers and fantastic presentations from Momo Komba, a musician from Diafrix and mentor for disadvantaged youth, and pre-eminent Australian basketballer Liz Cambage. Both generously shared their eye-opening experiences in coping with mental health challenges, the outlets they used to overcome these challenges, and how they’re helping others in similar situations.

The Knights would sincerely like to thank Jimmy from Easey’s, and Adrian Parisi for donating all funds raised from this event towards the Collingwood Knights. We certainly look forward to maintaining this partnership in future!
